Warhammer 40,000 Introductory Set 2026 – English

Take your first steps into the grim darkness of the far future with the Warhammer 40,000 Introductory Set, the ideal starting point for anyone wanting to discover the worlds of Warhammer 40K, miniature building, painting, and tabletop gaming.

This current 2026 English edition introduces the conflict between the genetically enhanced Space Marines and the brutal Orks, providing two opposing forces along with paints, gaming accessories, terrain, dice, and a step-by-step handbook.

The box contains 12 multipart push-fit Citadel miniatures, designed to be assembled without glue. The Space Marines are moulded in blue plastic and the Orks in green plastic, making the two forces easy to identify even before painting.

Miniatures Included

The Space Marine force contains:

• 1 Space Marine Lieutenant
• 5 Intercessors

The Ork force contains:

• 1 Ork Nob
• 5 Ork Boyz

Each miniature is supplied with its appropriate sculpted base.

The Introductory Set has been specifically designed to guide new hobbyists through every stage of Warhammer 40,000. A 48-page softcover handbook explains how to assemble and paint the miniatures before introducing the basic rules required to play your first battles.

You also receive a double-sided gaming mat and three sheets of punch-out card terrain, allowing you to create a battlefield without purchasing additional scenery immediately.

Paints and Gaming Accessories

The set includes a Warhammer Colour Starter Brush and six 12ml Warhammer Colour paints:

• Abaddon Black
• Macragge Blue
• Mournfang Brown
• Leadbelcher
• Retributor Armour
• Orruk Flesh

Also included are a transparent range ruler and six D6 dice, giving new players the essential accessories required to begin playing.

In total, the kit contains 94 plastic components. The miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly, but their push-fit design means glue is not required. Games Workshop recommends suitable hobby cutters for removing the components from their frames.

An Excellent First Warhammer 40K Box

The Warhammer 40,000 Introductory Set is particularly suitable for complete beginners, families discovering the hobby together, returning players, or as a gift for someone interested in Warhammer.

Instead of requiring separate purchases of miniatures, paints, dice, rules and gaming accessories, this box brings the essential first steps together in one package.
